According to Vastu Shastra , it will help in achieving harmony, tranquility, wealth, and health in life by adhering to the principles of Vastu Shastra. One should place the plants and trees in the home according to the direction and places as instructed by the Vastu Shastra. It is advised that property owners adhere to the Vastu for plants principles when creating a home garden or when making designs for their residence.
Vastu Plants for Home
The following plants are considered as bringing luck to the home. They are listed as given below:
- Dracaena : According to Vastu Shastra, dracaena is a lucky bamboo , a plant that attracts peace, positive energy, good luck and prosperity in the home.
- Tulsi : It is known as a holy basil plant that is an air purifier and helps to spread positive energy. According to Vastu, the tulsi plant should be kept in the north, north-east or east direction. The tulsi plant should not be kept in the south most direction of the plant.
- Money Plant : This plant has green glossy leaves that bring wealth and fortune to home. The money plant should be placed in the south-east direction of your living room.
- Aloe Vera : It is an evergreen medicinal plant that purifies the air. It is a succulent, hardy plant that survives with very little amount of water. According to vastu, the aloe vera plant should be kept in the east or north direction. Keeping the aloe vera plant in the right direction, it is good for the well-being of family members.
- Snake Plant : The snake plant is called so as it has leaves resembling the snake’s skin. This plant removes harmful toxins and purifies the air. As per the guidelines of Vastu Shastra, the snake plant brings positive energy to home when grown in the east, south-east or south direction.
- Peace Lily : This plant brings love, peace and harmony to the home. It is considered essential for your bedroom.
- Jade Plant : The jade plant is most commonly known as dollar plant as it represents wealth. It should be placed in the home’s easterly direction.
Vastu Trees for Home
The property owner should plant these trees in the home garden as instructed by the Vastu Shastra for bringing positive vibes in the family relations and in the home. The trees that should be planted in home are given as below :
- Mango: The mango tree should be planted in the northeast direction and in the middle of east. According to vastu, the mango tree is beneficial for health as it brings positivity. Also, the leaves of mango trees are used in many religious functions.
- Neem: The neem tree should be planted in the north-west direction according to vastu. This tree is very beneficial for our health as it is regarded as one of the medicinal plants that purifies the air.
- Banana : The banana tree is a symbol of wealth and prosperity. Its leaves are used for various religious functions and the festivals. The banana tree should be placed in the north-east direction of the garden.
- Jackfruit : The jackfruit tree should be placed in the North-east direction of the house. The leaves of this tree are mainly considered as auspicious and used for puja ceremonies.
- Coconut : The coconut tree should be planted in the South or the west direction of the garden area. According to Vastu, all the parts of a coconut tree are useful, thus it is considered a sacred tree.
